Dear Moderator,
Welcome to my A2 Media blog in which I show the stages I have been through in order to create my main product, a thriller film trailer titled "Eye Spy" along with two ancillary tasks, an "Eye Spy" film poster and a magazine front cover called "Uncut" which features my film trailer. You'll find all of these completed products directly below. My Research & Planning posts start in September and my Evaluation begins on March 11th.
I hope you enjoy,
Luke

Research & Planing: Steel Tongs
Steel tongs is the font used for the small titles listed at the bottom of a film poster. Here is a small look at my poster so far, I feel that the font may be slightly too big but I can adjust this later so that it fits my poster and its contents.
Research & Planning: Poster / Magazine Photo's
On Sunday, 20th January I plan to take some photographs that will feature on my magazine cover and poster.
I've decided to use the one character in my magazine that features in the trailer the most so that I can link the two together well. I've also decided to use this character as my main focus for my poster, however, I may add some faded images of the other characters.

Research & Planning: Filming Organisation
We plan to film most of our footage on Sunday, 20th January. We already have some footage, which is included in our rough cut, yet we may film these areas again with different actors.
We will also film any extra areas on Wednesday, 23rd January to finalise our production stage.
We have established a location and we will be able to use it all day because it is one of our houses and therefore we don't need to book specific times.

Research & Planning: Poster Title Ideas
Here is my final development for this idea in which I kept the
previous design but added my slogan.
I decided to add extra layers to the font by placing the same text
behind the min focus and lowering the opacity to give it a confused feel.
I also used the multiply effect on various patterns to add extratextures to the image
I decided
that the white didnt suit my genre enough and I therefore brought back the red.
For this font, I took away the red and added a gradient to the
lettering along with an inner shadow to give it a three-dimensional look.
Here is my first idea for my Film
Poster, I've combined a font with various layers and a lens flare to add
depth to my font.

Research & Planning: Poster Font Ideas

Here is a selection of fonts I think will suit the genre of my film. I picked these fonts as I think that they are simple and therefore will be good to adjust to make them more of a unique style that makes my poster stand out.

Research & Planning: Updated Costume List
When we made our previous costume list the weather was different to what we will be filming in now.
It is a lot colder now and it wouldn't be fair to place our actors in
the cold filming in the other costumes so we are going to adapt it to
the weather now.
Girl #1
Keeping the dark jeans and simple t-shirt with design on and the
minimalistic make-up and hair in a ponytail however we will now add a
cardigan over the top, maybe a patterned cardigan to give this character
more of an identity.
And she will still end up with ripped clothing and dirt all over her, make-up a mess and also I will add some cuts and bruises.
Girl #2
We were originally having this character in shorts or a dress, we will
still keep her in a dress but we will add tights as well and a cardigan,
a thinner cardigan so that she is a lot different to the other female
and has a separate identity to the other female character.
Again she will have the ripped clothing, dirty and make-up a mess and cuts and bruises.
Male #1
Keeping the checkered shirt, and dark jeans and depending on how cold it is, we may add a jumper over the top.
Dirty, dusty, ripped clothing and bruised and cut.
Male #2
This character is a lot more casual so we will keep him in the t-shirt
and joggers but add a hoodie or something over the top to keep him
warmer.
Dirty, dusty, ripped clothing and bruised and cut.
